The Evils Movie is  a  film from director and producer Hakim Hudson of Desperado Media Group.

The Evils  is a raw unfiltered glimpse into the lives of those affected by the drug trade- from the users to the buyers, to the dealers who sell it and the police trying to catch them. Primarily shot on location in Philadelphia, the “Evils “is the story of Jerome Grimes, a young man who gets caught in the life due to a tragic childhood.

The Evils will debut in Camden at the IDEA Performing Arts Center at the Susquehanna Bank Center on the Camden Waterfront Thursday June 17th  2010 in an effort to bring attention to the senseless life and death of our youth here in Camden and throughout the nation who are caught up in the drug trade.

The IDEA Film Series is a partnership between Booker/Mark Productions and the Rave Motion Pictures Ritz Center 16 and will bring local and national film makers  and actors to Camden to debut their films to the local community in a grassroots effort  to save and influence our youth to have a “Victory over Violence” .

The screening - on Thursday June 17th at 5:30 pm - will take place at the new IDEA Performing Arts Center in their black box theatre and will include a red carpet reception, an art exhibit and a jazz performance. Immediately following the screening,  a group discussion with the actors and film maker will take place  about the effect the drug trade has had and is having on our youth here in Camden and the entire nation.

The Event is a Charity Film Gala and proceeds from tickets will benefit the IDEA Film Series and scholarships for young film makers.   Tickets are $35 for individuals and $50 for Corporate.  Please RSVP to attend. You can RSVP at www.idea-arts@comcast.net
