BLACK IN THE 70s DOUBLE FEATURE THIS FRIDAY 1/11 at THE BANK

This Friday, Reelblack Presents returns to THE BANK, 3750 Lancaster Avenue with a special BLACK IN THE 70s: PIMPS, HUSTLERS AND PLAYERS Double Feature.
Reelblack Founder Mike D. curates a double feature of episodes of classic 70s TV where Black Actors/ storylines were featured.
In LIKE A BROTHER (1979) Dr. David Banner (Bill Bixby) intercedes to help Mike and his little brother DJ surviver the man streets of the inner city. But local businessman Taylor George (Tony Burton) wants Michael to hustle drugs, which brings out Banners rage and transforms him into The Incredible Hulk.
In BAD DUDE (1976), a Hit Man is out to kill bounty hunter Rosey Grier (who outsmarts him at first by putting a watermelon in his bed). Will Kojak track down the contract killer before its too late? Actor Bill Duke would later disown his performance and attempt to buy the negative back from Universal Pictures.
The night will be filled out with rare clips from variety shows and other 70s ephemera.
